SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really SRD is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area daily. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to enable the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
